Unsere Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Untersuchung des Einflusses der Grenzflächen- und komplexen Benetzungsphänomene auf die Hydrodynamik, den Phasenwechsel, den Wärme- und Stofftransport in flüssigen Filmen, Rinnsalen und Tropfen. Wir verwenden intelligente Fest/Fluid-Grenzflächen zur Steuerung der Transportprozesse, insbesondere zur Verbesserung der Wärme- und Stoffübertragung. Die intelligenten Grenzflächen umfassen strukturierte Substrate, Substrate mit nanoporösen Beschichtungen, verformbare und lösliche Substrate. Die intelligenten Grenzflächen modifizieren die Strömungsstabilität, beeinflussen die Dichte der dreiphasigen Kontaktlinien, induzieren Imbibition und Marangoni-Konvektion.
