Droplet oscillation on superhydrophobic surfaces has the potential to enable a controlled droplet movement in microfluidic lab-on-a-chip systems. Extensive research has already been carried out in this area. With a comprehensive literature review and subsequent application of previously derived equations to approximate the system, existing gaps are now to be closed.
